She completed a series of photos commissioned by The Ohio State University for their “Pollinatarium”, an exhibit seeking to educate people about the importance of pollinators in the ecosystem. She also provided the photography for and designed the brochures for The Ohio State University Entomology Dept.
In addition to her work as a photographer, Karina is the author of two books, a memoir of her father’s childhood in World War II, The Minefield of Memories and Stella and the Golden Crystal, a young adult fantasy. She is currently working on several other projects, including a novel spanning nearly 100 years of Colorado’s pivotal prospecting and mining days, and a novel based on the true story of the impactful and beloved WWII song, Lili Marlene.
For many years, Karina was a regular book review columnist for The Summit Daily and The Vail Daily newspapers, and contributed articles and photographs to Holistic Parenting Magazine.
